The short version
The leads you collect stay in your browser. We never receive them, and we don't want them.
What the extension stores on your computer
- The leads from your current scan, your export history and the list of keys you already exported.
- Your settings, and your licence key if you have one.
- A random install id, created on install. It is not linked to you.
All of it lives in the browser's extension storage. Settings → Delete everything stored removes it.
What our server receives
- Licence checks: your licence key and install id.
- Email finder: the website addresses you ask it to check. We store the result per website domain for up to 30 days as a cache. We do not store which customer asked for which website beyond the monthly count of distinct domains, which is how the plan limit is measured.
- Area search: the business type and place name you type.
- Web server logs: IP address, time and path, kept for up to 14 days to stop abuse.
Payment
Payments are handled by PayPal. We receive your subscription id, its status and the email address on the PayPal account, so we can send you a licence key and support you. We never see card details.
We email you the licence key and, rarely, a message about the service. No marketing lists.
Business contact data
The email finder reads pages that businesses publish for the public. If you are a business owner and want your details removed from our cache, write to oceansmith.tech@gmail.com with the domain, and we will delete it and block it from being fetched again.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of what we hold about your licence, have it corrected, or have it deleted after your subscription ends. Write to oceansmith.tech@gmail.com.
